Hotbar Example
Here is a quick hotbar example using GDevelop. Below you may download the project file used to make it. I feel it's a bit clunky in how I approached the logic, but I'm throwing it up here for educational purposes. This example is not touch screen friendly. I did not set up any logic to handle multiple touches on items at the same time. It is a quick pc example for demonstrating how to setup a hotbar.
Ignore the second download file. It is for another guy that wanted it. *Edit Since so many people are downloading the second file too, I added save events in that example also. And I heavily commented it, which may be irritating to more advanced users. If you are an advanced user, you know you can delete all the comments very quickly and easily so that you may see the flow of events without distraction.
All assets are mine. You may use them in your projects but you may not pass them out for others to use. You may use the events I wrote in your projects but you may not pass them out for others to use.
To play the first example: Click an item to add it to the hotbar. Click the hotbar item to delete it. Click the reset button to reset the game. Game is saved between sessions.
To play the second example: Use the arrow keys to move the basket. Collide with the objects to collect them. Click the items in the hotbar to delete them.
Install instructions
After downloading the event sheet, you may unzip it. Open GDevelop, navigate to the folder and select the json to open.
